I am accepting this form of art with pride because of the new concept of natural forms and the love of unbridled color.I believe absolutely in color as an emotional force. It is "Expressionism" as a way to express my feelings and interpretations. The Joy for Life and the Joy for painting and art. My paintings depict pure color to express myself powerfully.Because I am painting directly from Nature, I have evolved the use of pure color, not blended, and applied it straight from the tubes in an aggrressive direct manner to create a sense of explosion on the canvas.I want to capture pure, vivid colors, blocks and dashes in Nature in a frenzy of emotion. Landscapes beg for large areas of color, simple forms that come from a passionate inner being.The color techniques are endless, the treatment of form has resulted in a decorative effect. Color to me has a mystical quality that can express my inner feelings about a subject rather than simply describe a scene. Exaggerated color with blazing reds and bold compliments of greens and blues lends itself to a freedom of style from the color spectrum. When one analyzes the effective use of vivid elements, there is a instinctive sensibility at work.The key is using such exaggerated colors to apply spontaneity and simplification in the shapes and forms of the image....
